The exterior windows are cleaned with very soft cloths and non abrasive products. Exterior plastics are washed and brought back to an “as new” appearance. Finally, wheels and tyres are cleaned, giving the motorhome a finished look.

This BMW hatchback initially receives a thorough wash, followed by a rinse.  The exterior of the car is then dried using a wash leather.  Once dry, the car enjoys (!) a hand wax using Carnauba wax. A hand polish will bring out the shine. As a result of applying a quality wax, you will notice rain water forming “beads” on the car. Furthermore, this wax and polish will help to maintain the “as new shine”

Internal glass and mirrors receive appropriate treatments.  All interior fittings are cleaned using soft cleaning clothes and for the harder to reach areas, small brushes. Wheels receive a non acidic treatment. Finally, the tyres receive a suitable treatment/dressing. This will really help your car to stand out from the crowd.

Any mud and loose dirt is removed from the carpets with a hand brush. Carpets receive a dry vacuum. A wet vacuum is available where appropriate.  The seats and boot receive a similar treatment. All plastics and interior trims are carefully restored to their former glory.

This Swift caravan needs sme hard graft and TLC

Last month, I was given a bit of a challenge and kept busy for a day whilst caravan valeting in Huddersfield.  This Swift caravan was in need of some tender loving care to restore it to it’s once former glory. The caravan had been stored by it’s previous owner. Consequently, some hard graft was needed to bring the caravan upto the high standards SSA Valeting’s customers know and expect.

The caravan was treated to hand wash with soap water – in fact, several times over! I do not use a pressure washer on caravans and motorhomes – your leisure vehicle is treated with respect. The soap and years of grime were rinsed away, allowing me time to apply a wax the exterior panels. Note that I do not wax the roof.  The windows are washed with very soft cloths and gentle cleaning products. As a result, this ensures that the plastic is not scratched or damaged in any way.

As you can see, what was once almost a “barn find”, is now a beautiful Swift Corniche cavavan ready for a new home – and to be a home to it’s new owners!
